The Surveillance Operator & Technician is responsible for observing and protecting casino assets via CCTV as well as maintaining and servicing surveillance and alarm systems throughout the property. This dual role is essential to the integrity of our gaming operations, ensuring both compliance and technical performance of all surveillance-related systems. 

Qualifications

Must-Haves: 

  • One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in security, surveillance, or CCTV maintenance/installation. 
  • Two (2) year Electronic Degree is preferred or equivalent experience in CCTV, electrical maintenance, and repair. 
  • You will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such environment.  
  • Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by the applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by our operating standards. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time. 
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and work in confined spaces with low lighting. 
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. 
  • Excellent vision and hearing required. 
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate and repair surveillance equipment. 
  • Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service equipment. 
  • Use of stairs and elevators required. 

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact: 

  • Observe all activities of guests and team members on the casino floor, cage, change booths, and count rooms via the closed-circuit television system for criminal activity and/or violations of state lottery and gaming commission regulations as well as company policies and procedures. 
  • Monitor areas of the casino, atrium, and parking areas for safety hazards to ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees. 
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain CCTV equipment and related systems. 
  • Complete reports and documentation as needed, including logging surveillance activity and equipment status. 
  • Participate in installation, movement, and removal of surveillance-related equipment to assure gaming protection and compliance with internal controls and regulations. 
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CCTV and alarm systems including replacing or repairing hardware components. 
  • Maintain an inventory of CCTV equipment and coordinate with equipment suppliers for purchases and bids. 
  • Assist in training team members on the operation of CCTV equipment and alarms. 
  • Be available on-call 24/7 for emergency surveillance equipment malfunctions. 
  • Ensure compliance with gaming laws and internal control procedures. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Skills to Help You Succeed: 

  • Strong knowledge of computers, CCTV systems, hand tools, and electronic testing devices. 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and schematic diagrams. 
  • Ability to write technical statements and detailed reports. 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot dome cameras and related surveillance components. 
  • Familiarity with gaming laws and regulations. 
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, interruptive environment.
