The Drop Slot Attendant plays a dual role in delivering exceptional guest service and supporting drop and count operations. This team member will ensure casino guests have an outstanding experience by assisting with slot play needs, promotional services, and jackpot payouts, while also participating in the accurate and secure collection and counting of slot and table game drop. 

Qualifications

Must-Haves: 

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience in a customer service environment 
  • You will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such environment.  
  • Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by the applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by our operating standards. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning. 
  • Ability to move around the casino with a sense of urgency. 
  • Standing: 100% 
  • Walking: 50% 
  • Bending/Lifting (up to 75 lbs.) 
  • Pulling/Pushing (up to 75 lbs. with help) 

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact: 

  • Welcomes and engages guests throughout the casino floor. 
  • Responsible for executing new card sign-ups using handheld devices and desktop computers. 
  • Informs members about benefits, contests, and promotions. 
  • Assists with slot jackpots, ticket fills, minor equipment jams, and repair issues. 
  • Opens, removes, and secures currency from slot machines and table games during drop. 
  • Accurately counts slot machine currency drop and tickets. 
  • Operates electronic currency counter/sorter and New Wave ticket counter. 
  • Records currency and ticket totals and prepares bundles for verification. 
  • Prepares and enters various reports into the accounting system. 
  • Separates tickets and currency from gaming devices. 
  • Ensures cleanliness and security of the drop and count area. 
  • Assists with Poker Room chip counts as needed. 
  • Responds to guest questions and concerns in a courteous and professional manner. 
  • Distributes promotional items according to guidelines. 
  • May be assigned as a greeter or assist with special promotional events. 
  • Notifies slot technicians for malfunctions beyond basic troubleshooting. 
  • Maintains confidentiality and adheres to all drop/count policies and procedures. 
  • Complies with all internal controls, standards, and procedures. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Skills to Help You Succeed: 

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Ability to handle and count money accurately. 
  • Proficient in basic computer operations and use of 10-key calculators. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures under time pressure. 
  • Ability to distinguish between colors. 
  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions and memos. 
  • Capable of working both independently and within a team.
