The Bartender/QSR Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional service by preparing and serving beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and operating the cash register in a fast-paced environment. This position requires attention to detail, strong multitasking skills, and a guest-first attitude to enhance the experience of the guest during their visit. 

Qualifications

Must-Haves: 

  • Education: A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. Completion of professional bartending training desired.  Mixology training a plus. 
  • Experience: Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year experience as a bartender in a high volume operation 
  • You will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such environment.  
  • Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by the applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by our operating standards. 

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact: 

  • Responsible for setting up and maintaining bars and quick service stations. 
  • Responsible for handling all cash and credit transactions. 
  • Operate POS and cash register systems to accurately process sales and issue receipts. 
  • Take and serve orders from guests and servers accurately and in a timely manner. 
  • Greet guests, answer phone calls, and assist with tracking seat availability. 
  • Assist with bussing, cleaning, and maintaining cleanliness of guest service areas. 
  • Monitor and replenish stock levels, and assess stocking needs. 
  • Maintain back-of-house cleanliness, including equipment, prep surfaces, and storage areas in accordance with health department standards. 
  • Assist with basic food prep such as portioning, assembling to-go orders, and ensuring proper food storage. 
  • Ensure opening and closing inventories of all stock are completed accurately. 
  • Direct and observe bar back and support staff as needed. 
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace in accordance with sanitation and health department regulations. 
  • Ensure guests receive a favorable gaming and dining experience. 
  • Recognize and observe guest limitations and comply with alcohol awareness and company policy. 
  • Knowledge of bar equipment,restaurant bar equipment, Easy Bar System, ABC laws, gaming laws, and food safety regulations. 
  • Consistently maintain appearance and performance standards. 
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, interruptive environment with frequent time pressures. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Skills to Help You Succeed: 

  • Ability to “upsell” and recommend products to guests. 
  • Ability to perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. 
  • Strong communication skills—ability to speak, read, write, and follow instructions in English. 
  • Ability to reconcile and balance sales at the conclusion of a shift. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to entertain bar guests appropriately. 
  • Able to handle situations involving intoxicated guests responsibly. 
  • Proficiency in operating cash registers and handling transactions. 
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. 
  • High energy, strong work ethic, and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to communicate with all departments and work as a team player. 
  • Knowledge of alcoholic beverages, wines, beers, and liquors. 
  • Familiarity with alcohol awareness guidelines and safe handling practices for food and beverages.
